Global Mapping of Ecological Vulnerability to Forest Fires

Fire is a natural phenomenon that has played, on a global scale, one of the most critical roles in transforming the environment and maintaining biodiversity. However, some habitats have not developed plant strategies in the event of fires or are not adapted to the change in fire-regimes. The main objective of this study is to assess and map ecological vulnerability to fires on a global scale. Through existing global databases, Ecological Value and Post-fire Regeneration Delays indices have been generated.
